Mission Statement

Following its amalgamation with RUPP, the CPS has expanded its mission to include the following:
• To provide academic and vocational training programs aimed at producing social scientists with a broad knowledge and understanding of population studies. These programs should teach innovative approaches to population surveys and specialized statistical and demographic techniques necessary for independent research in the field;
• To conduct research on a wide range of population-related topics;
• To offer research collaboration with national and international researchers and institutions;
• To provide survey consultancy on multi-disciplinary issues of population, gender, education, health, and development;
• To seek collaboration with international institutions and universities to provide a Masters Program in Population Studies at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
