Approximately 40 students are chosen for the scholarship class in Chemistry each year. This is administered by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, based on sound results in the High School Certificate subjects of Chemistry and Mathematics. Beginning in 2007, a further 20 students will be selected for the Food Technology course. Students can also enter the Department of Chemistry’s degrees as non-scholarship students by paying a fee. The fee for undergraduate courses in the department is US$300 per year.
