Assessment

Students are assessed for each subject through class discussions and assignments (20%), attendance (10%), essay writing and fieldwork (20%), and end of semester examinations (50%). At the end of the fourth year excellent students will write and present a thesis instead of a final examination.

Resources

History staff and students have access to the university’s general libraries, including the Hun Sen Library at Campus I, the RUPP Library at campus II, as well as the internal departmental library equipped by California State University, Long Beach and the Library of Royal Academy of Cambodia. Furthermore, history staff have amassed many relevant books, using funding from the PAP budget, as personal research tools. These books can be made available to students by appointment.
