Introduction

As Social Workers, we are committed to promoting the strengths of individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities to enhance the social welfare of our society. We seek to support poor and vulnerable populations through the promotion of social justice and respect and compassion for all.

Students in the Bachelor of Arts in Social Work degree will develop a greater understanding of complex social problems using an ecological framework. Students will learn about strategies of empowerment that impact social change and seek to maximize quality of life.  These social interventions may focus at the micro-, meso-, and macro-levels.
