Students are assessed through attendance and class discussions, monthly tests, assignments and field work, as well as formal midterm and end of semester examinations. At the end of the first semester of their fourth year, students are required to submit a thesis proposal. If accepted they will continue to research and write the paper. Otherwise they will undertake coursework and a final examination to achieve their degree.
