Staff

Staffs of the Department of Tourism (DoT) consist of core, contingent, and adjunct staff. Core staff are those regarded as official government civil servants formally selected and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), while contingent staff are potential members of the department, whose capacities and know-how are being individually and institutionally promoted to be future official staff of the department, especially once they obtain a minimum degree of M.A. or M.Sc. from abroad or from nationally / internationally recognized higher education institutions as well as when they pass the annual staff-recruitment examination held by MoEYS. Different to the these two types, the adjunct staff are made of RUPP’s faculty members from other disciplines or those from partner institutions including civil society organizations, ministries, and private sector.

At present, within its framework, DoT-RUPP is actively involved in education. Besides, its work scope is extended to research, training, consultancy, and community services.
