Background

The Department of International Studies originated from the International Studies Program (ISP), which was established at the Institute of Foreign Languages on September 5, 2008. At its inception, ISP, with a limited number of students, was under the administration and management of the Department of English. Since then as the quality and quantity of students and faculty members grew, significant modifications to the curriculum were made and the Program was transformed into the Department of International Studies (DIS) in June 2010.
