Degree Structure
Students must complete units totaling 48 credit points to be eligible for the award of Master of Arts in TESOL. Students choose to undertake one of two strands within the degree, one consisting of coursework only, and one consisting of coursework with a minor thesis. The coursework only strand consists of seven compulsory core units/subjects and nine elective units/subjects. The coursework with the minor thesis consists of seven compulsory units/subjects, six elective unit/subjects and a supervised dissertation of 10,000 words.
Note: Students with performance of below 70% in the first two semesters are not permitted to continue the M.A. Program. Instead, they are awarded a post-graduate diploma in TESOL.
