Korean Youth IT Education Program for Cambodian students

Royal University of Phnom Penh had a great honor to cooperate with Korean Research Foundation for 21th Century and INHA University under the support of Joongang Daily News to organize Korean Youth IT Education Program for Cambodian Students of the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

The purposes of this program are

  • To make an opportunity for Cambodian students to learn IT program
  • To cultivate global leadership to Korean students
  • To share IT ability of Korean young with Cambodian students
  • To increase the relationship between South Korea and Cambodia

The training program consists of

  • Microsoft Office Intermediate and Advance
  • Computer Programming Language C++
  • Web Design and Internet Programming

And 95 trainees which 15 were RUPP staff and 80 were RUPP students. It was a 10 days training program that was taken place from July 07 to July 18 and each subject was taught for 30 hours. To facilitate IT program to run smoothly, HANJIN Group Company and INHA University has donated 18 computers to RUPP to use in the modern multimedia lab and these computers will configure with wireless Internet and video conferencing. Though this is the first training, RUPP hope to have more cooperation on other activities in the future such as exchange of lecturers and students, study visit, short-term and long-term research as well as increasing number of scholarship for Cambodian students.
