Pre-departure to Group T

With a great honor of President Dr Johan De Graeve, GROUP T- International University College Leuven organized a meeting for Great Mekong Sub region Alumni, held at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, Nonthaburi, Thailand on 28-29 June 2008.
The GMS Alumni and the new GROUP T- students from the Royal University of Phnom Penh were invited to the meeting to discuss and address the key issues of how to bring about an operational continuity in GT-GMS-AAA and which collaboration projects with GROUP T would bring an added value to their university.
In addition, the meeting also served as a pre-departure function for the four prospective master students awarded to pursue their graduate degree in Belgium in the academic year 2008-2009. Mr Wim Polet from GROUP T international office had spent his valuable time to provide us more information and advice regarding the study, living and preparation.
More importantly, the event had been a venue for the former as well as current GROUP T students to share their experience with the four prospective, which does not only help promote academic achievement but also cultural and political understanding across the borders. However, the meeting would not have been as a successful phenomenon without President Dr Johan De Graeve and all GROUP T members.
