Chinese Government Scholarship program of KUST is a unilateral full scholarship set up by Chinese Government under the name of "Chinese Government Scholarship – Degree Study in Provinces & autonomous Region Program". It is established by the Ministry of Education of China, aiming to strengthen the education exchanges and cooperation between China and its neighboring countries. KUST is entrusted to recruit international students independently by Department of Education of Yunnan Province, providing full scholarship to great young people from Greater Mekong Subregion countries to study for degrees, especially for postgraduate and doctor degrees.
Application
The applicants shall send all the application materials to International Student Admission Office, School of International Programs, KUST before April 20, 2009.
All applicants must be submitted to the Educational Advising Center (EAC), Room 103, 1st Floor, Main Campus, RUPP.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health
- Applicants are not studying in Chinese University
- Education background and age limit:
Applicants for undergraduate studies must have senior high school diploma with good grade and be under the age of 25
Applicants for master degree must have bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for Doctoral degree studies must have master's degree and be under the age of 40.

Monthly living allowance is paid to the students by the host institution at the following rate (CNY Yuan per month)
Undergraduate: CNY 1,400 Yuan
Master degree student: CNY 1,700 Yuan
Doctoral degree students: CNY 2,000 Yuan
