Connecting through pitching: SCA students and lecturers conclude the MBTI Training Workshop with Brighton Academy
On 26 August 2026, students and lecturers from the Department of Supply Chain and Automation Engineering (SCA) gathered for the 4th and final session of the MBTI Training Workshop with Brighton Academy — wrapping up the series through a dynamic pitching session that brought together personality preferences, communication styles, and “Speaking to Connect” techniques.
Final pitching session: applying personality insights and communication skills
On 26 August 2026, students and lecturers from the Department of Supply Chain and Automation Engineering (SCA) attended the 4th and concluding session of the MBTI Training Workshop, led by our honourable guest facilitator from Brighton Academy.
We wrapped up our four-day MBTI Training Workshop with Brighton Academy through an interactive final pitching session that brought together everything learned across the past lessons. Participants synthesized their self-awareness, cognitive preference pairs (S/N and T/F), and the core pillars of “Speaking to Connect” (Voice, Body, Message, and Audience).
Participants applied their knowledge of personality preferences and communication styles to prepare and deliver their own individual pitches from the stage. The activity encouraged participants to communicate with confidence, adapt to different audiences, and connect their message with others effectively.
Integrating personality preferences into powerful pitching
The final session brought the entire 4-day curriculum full circle by challenging participants to apply theoretical insights into actionable, persuasive presentations:
Effective pitching is where self-awareness meets execution. When engineering students and lecturers harness personality insights and align their voice, body, message, and audience, they transform technical concepts into compelling, connected stories that inspire collaboration and drive leadership.
Live pitches, stage delivery, and certification ceremony
Putting all four sessions into live practice, participants stepped up to the podium to pitch their ideas, receiving valuable real-time feedback and concluding the 4-day training journey with the presentation of official Certificates of Participation.
