Documents Required by IRO:
For further evaluation, students are required to submit the following documents in person to the International Relations Office (IRO).
Document | Remarks on Documents |
|---|---|
| 1) Comprehensive CV/Resume | The curriculum vitae or resume should include the applicant's academic background and/or related accomplishments. Please do NOT submit a work-specific CV to the selection committee. |
| 2) One-page motivation letter | The letter ought to be addressed to the selection committee at the IR Office. Its contents should encompass the reasons supporting the student's selection, the student's expectations regarding participation in the exchange programme, and the prospective benefits for the bilateral relations between the two universities. Furthermore, the letter should be concise, not exceeding one page or 500 words. |
| 3) Academic transcript of record | It is highly advisable that the student bring the transcript with the cumulative GPA scores from the first semester of their first year until the scores they receive in the most recent semester. |
| 4) Enrolment certificate | An enrollment certificate verifies the student's current academic status and must be prepared in English. |
| 5) English proficiency proof/report | Since selected students will be required to enrol in courses and attend classes conducted in English, applicants must demonstrate a proficient command of English. Acceptable documentation includes proof or reports of IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge examinations. Additionally, while a letter from the applicant's host department may be accepted internally, the host university may still require official, suitable test reports. |
| 6) A copy of the passport on the information page | The passport may be considered at the final stage of the application process; however, it significantly influences the outcome of the application as a whole. It is necessary for the information on the submitted copy of the passport to be visible; therefore, applicants are advised to scan and print it appropriately. |
