Introduction
The Chinese Language Specialty cultivates students to achieve the ability of proficient spoken and writing Chinese language, of abundant knowledge about Chinese language, literature, culture and society. Graduates are prepared for the exchange and communication work in the culture and economy with China and are able to take up advanced study in these areas as well.
Both the basic and the specialty course are set according to the Chinese national demand for the specialty. The credit curriculum is desired for the international Chinese requirement, especially for the Southeast Asia in its three training aspects: Chinese education, economic and trade, and tourism management.
Graduates who achieve the required credits in the prescriptive time are awarded the diploma and the Bachelor's degree by Dali University and the Royal University of Phnom Penh.
Cultivating Purpose
The Chinese Language Specialty aims at training students to achieve the ability for Chinese language application in the various areas where Chinese language is demanded, including :
Obtaining proficient spoken and writing ability, being able to undertake translation job.
Possessing fundamental specialty knowledge, comprehending the situation and the culture of China, obtaining knowledge about the society of China, and being able to do any exchange work especially in culture, economy and tourism area.
Acquiring the ability of teaching Chinese and commanding good learning method and being able to further increase Chinese fluency.
Reaching the HSK (National Proficiency Chinese Language Test) with an advanced 6 level.
Being able to operate computers in Chinese and holding the method of searching literature, data and other related information with Chinese.
Length of Education
The standard length of education is 4 years. Students who can achieve required credits are qualified to apply for the degree within 4 to 6 years.
