Information Technology Engineering Master Degree
Information Technology Engineering Master Degree
Introduction to Degree
The rapid advancement of information and communication technologies (ICT) has contributed to the economic development around the world. The integration of ICT into private and government sector has also facilitated and sped up the way people work and it has becoming an indispensible tool as part of our lives. Recently, there has been substantial growth of businesses in Cambodia. Many businesses, especially those providing service in information technologies, and telecommunications, have constantly been starting up. As a result, the demands for specialists in this area have been dramatically increasing. However, the supplies of qualified and professional human resources to the market demands are still very limited in Cambodia. Therefore, the development of human resources in this field is urgently required. Taking these circumstances into consideration, Royal University of Phnom Penh − the largest and oldest university in Cambodia − decides to establish a new graduate program to offer a Master of Science in Information Technology Engineering (MITE) in 2009.
Evaluation & Graduation
Assessment of study will be performed at the end of each semester. Evaluation will be shown as the Grade Point Average (GPA) (4.00 scale) and the Cumulative Grade Point Average (4.00 scale).
| Score Range | GPA | Grade Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 85–100 | 4.0 | A = Excellent |
| 80–84 | 3.5 | B+ = Very Good |
| 70–79 | 3.0 | B = Good |
| 65–69 | 2.5 | C+ = Fairly Good |
| 50–64 | 2.0 | C = Fair |
| 45–49 | 1.5 | D = Poor |
| <40 | 0.0 | E = Fail |

Department Goal
The Department have a vision To enhance and advance students’ knowledge, skills, and leadership in the field of automation and supply chain systems so that they are capable of integrating and ready to work in regional and global markets.

Vision
Master of IT Engineering (MITE) upgrades skills and knowledge of students in information and telecommunication technologies to a specialist level for a variety of ICT careers ranging from programmers/software developers, IT consultants, project managers in IT, network specialists to wireless and mobile engineers by allowing students to absorb sound knowledge of the latest development and research trends in ICT around the world. We also prepare students to understand how research efforts in ICT are conducted by introducing students to international research projects around the world and allowing them to be able to develop their own research projects to catch up with the international academic standards.

Strategy
What special about our master program is that we are highly committed to building and upgrading the technical knowledge of students with our carefully-structured courses at our first year. This will create a solid foundation for their second year’s focuses. We allow students to choose their preference of research and studies by shaping their knowledge to a particular area of technologies in the second year. Therefore, we provide three special study areas from which they can select. materials.
Admission Requirements

The medium of instruction of all master program at Wageningen University & Research is the English language. To be admitted to the Master's program at Department of Bio-Engineering
