Introduction
Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) was established in 2004 , For over 20 years, Cambodian-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) has been training and developing high-competent human resources for Cambodia, enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation between Cambodia and Japan through three main activities: Business Training, Japanese Language for Career Development, and Culture and Education Exchange Program. CJCC is supported by both the Cambodian government represented by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MOEYS) and the Japanese government represented by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan Foundation (JF).

Courses and Activities
The Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) is committed to promoting human resource development, business growth, and cultural exchange between Cambodia and Japan. Through its wide range of educational and professional programs, CJCC aims to equip individuals, entrepreneurs, and organizations with practical knowledge and skills that respond to the evolving needs of the market and society.
Business Training Courses
CJCC’s Business Training Courses are designed based on three key concepts: providing Japanese-style management knowledge and experience adapted to the Cambodian context, focusing on practical and real-world applications, and supporting young entrepreneurs as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The courses are mainly delivered by experienced Japanese experts dispatched by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), alongside Cambodian lecturers who contribute valuable local business perspectives. To meet the growing demands of the labor market, CJCC offers a diverse range of business training programs tailored to different customer groups and professional needs.
Business Training Course
1.1. Intensive Course
The intensive course has been conducted to provide practical skills, knowledge, and know-how as well as to improve business management capabilities of business owners and mid-to-senior management staff to reach a higher level. Currently, we are providing many courses, including strategic management, marketing, human resource management and operation management and so on.
The training is lectured by JICA Experts who have many experiences in business, training and consultation. In addition, professional staff in CJCC and other seasoned external experts provide training as well.
One of the characteristics of CJCC’s intensive training is that we provide practical learning opportunities for participants in an interactive manner with case studies, exercise, group works and discussions. After participating in the CJCC’s intensive training, participants can apply what they have learned from the next day in their business. We usually offer intensive training with a curriculum of 10-15 hours, which allows the participants to learn the subjects substantially to become a professional business person.

Cambodia-Japan Association for Business and Networking (CJBI)
Japanese Language
CJCC provides Japanese language education to support the increasing demand for Japanese communication skills in Cambodia. The programs are designed to serve students, professionals, and employees from various sectors including Cambodian and Japanese companies, NGOs, and banks. Through quality language instruction, learners are equipped with practical Japanese skills that enhance both career opportunities and cultural understanding.
Culture Exchange
CJCC’s cultural and educational exchange programs aim to strengthen mutual understanding and foster closer relationships between Cambodia and Japan. Through cultural classes, events, and educational activities, CJCC promotes appreciation of Japanese culture while also sharing valuable information about scholarship opportunities and study programs in Japan. These initiatives contribute to deeper people-to-people connections and cross-cultural learning between the two countries.
Assessment
Students' academic performance is assessed into three main categories. A good score in one category cannot compensate a poor or failed academic performance in another category.

Courses Description
Elementary Course
Elementary Course provides basic Japanese language to students. Students are able to take part in every day conversation, read and write simple sentences. This level includes around 500 Kanji and 1500 words. This course is separated into four levels; therefore, students can enroll the level that suits with their ability by taking entrance examination. New courses starts in every six months at the beginning of March and September, and application is processed two months before new course starts.
Intermediate Course
This course provides ability to students to higher level of Japanese grammar, conversation, reading, and writing. This course includes around 800 Kanji and 3000 words. This course includes three main levels, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate I, and Intermediate II. Each level takes six months. Students have to take entrance examination for desired level. New courses starts in every six months at the beginning of March and September, and application is processed two months before new courses starts.
Special Courses
Special courses provide opportunity to companies, public and private sectors or institutions that want to build capacity in using or speaking Japanese language. Some special courses were conducted such as Japanese language for business, Japanese language conversation, and Japanese for JLPT preparation. Japanese for business focuses on company, or public and private sector staffs who have intermediate Japanese ability, and want to be successful and out-standing in business communication with colleagues and customers.
Basic Japanese conversation class is conducted for the public who want to understand everyday Japanese conversation. Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) preparation is conducted with an attempt to strengthen candidates' ability to prepare for successful JLPT examination. Japanese Language for Departure is for institutions or public and private sector staff who want to be ready for preparing before departing to Japan. This class is conducted by upon request in particular time and events.
Information & Exchange Program
Information and Culture Exchange Program aims to strengthen and expand the mutual understanding and relationship between Cambodia and Japan by conducting cultural classes and events, sharing and advertising information of CJCC, and providing services like recruitment service and library services to the public.
Exchange Program fosters cultural exchange by conducting various kind of activities such as:
- 1. Khmer and Japanese traditional event display (New Year Day, Water Festival, Pchum Ben Day, Moon Festival, Doll Festival, etc.)
- 2. Japanese seasonal event celebration (Tanabata, etc.)
- 3. Khmer & Japanese flower arrangement class
- 4. Khmer & Japanese cooking class
- 5. Khmer & Japanese culture related program (Origami/Kirigami, Poem Workshop, etc.)
- 6. Special events (Bon Odori, Drum Concert, Friendship Concert, Japanese Song Contest. Etc)
- 7. Special events promoting human resource sector such as Study-in-Japan Fair, MEXT Scholarship (Scholarship programs supported by Ministry of Education in Japan, etc)
- 8. Honda YES Award Program
Information Resource Center
Information Resource Center aims to provide information of CJCC and recruitment service to Japanese Companies. Currently, we have launched a recruitment services by inviting students or anyone who are interested in working with Japanese companies to submit the application form to CJCC. We also offer a job fair which Japanese companies and students can meet and discuss about employment in the company.
Moreover, we have library which contains numerous books related to business, economy, education, culture & language, magazines, newspapers in different languages (Khmer, Japanese & English). You can find other services in our library such as internet services, audio visual booth, internet booth, self-study booth and so on.
We also launch a Japanese movie show one a month for the public with free admission.
